"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers who love the gospel of Jesus Christ, affirm the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

    "Redefining Christianity"

The information just in the PREview alone is shocking. The sooner the book gets out to a wider audience the better.

I read this yesterday, it is far as I got, I could not cope reading anymore:

The Purpose Driven Life helps heal fractured rural church
    by Rheta Murry

"GREENBRIAR, Ark. (PD) — Rick Warren's best-selling book, The Purpose Driven® Life, has spiritually energized tens of thousands of churches and millions of people in the last three years. For one small country church in Arkansas, the book helped bridge a long-standing conflict, unify its members, and spark new growth."

Is this blasphemy or even bordering on blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? Ascribing the spiritually energizing of churches and people to a book written by a man which is NOT the inspired Word of God? That it is the Purpose Driven® Life book that does what only God alone can do through His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit? Spiritually energizing churches and people? Is that what they are inferring? That it is Rick Warren's book that is doing all this? Am I reading this wrong? If they are saying that the Purpose Driven® Life book is that which is spiritually energizing churches and people then there is no need for the Bible anymore is there? I do not see God getting ALL the glory for all this but Rick Warren and his Purpose Driven® Life book and movement instead. True? A book by a mere man that has the power to "bridge a long-standing conflict, unify its members(a church) and spark new growth?" Are we living in days of a great apostasy coming upon us? A great blindness?
