"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers from diverse backgrounds yet have solidarity in Reformed Theology. Even though we may have differences on non-essential matters of theology, we are all committed to the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

Two Recent Stories from the United Kingdom

Two recent stories from the United Kingdom are cause for real concern, showing the current thought in much of the professing church and culture - found here and here.

"I do believe we will need to start to view our brothers seeking to proclaim the gospel in the United Kingdom as foreign missionaries in their own homeland, given the speed with which the British culture is collapsing into utter irrationality and loathing of God and His laws." - Dr. James White

Let us pray for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached boldly and received widely in our time.

A big thank you for highlighting the slide towards liberalism in the UK established church and Islamisation of my country. I would ask all my American Brothers and Sisters to pray for my country to be rid of both.

The scary thing about all of this is the fact that we, in America, are about 2 inches away of this becoming a reality here as well.

The "slide" towards liberalism? Uh, no. The UK is more pagan and filled with sham religion, than water is wet. And I am not saying that to praise us in the USA, we are even MORE to shame for we have not learned from the UK, and in fact are more blind and full of mockery. But

Ezekiel 23:31
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.

Ezekiel 23:11
And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.

To paraphrase Archie and Edith Bunker, mister we could use a man like John Knox again! Here is the day for the man, where is the man for today?-- CH Spurgeon.

Romans ch. 1:18-32 teaches that God can give people up to uncleanness. God punishes by using their own iniquity to make them even more wretched. And this because they hold HIS truth in unrighteousness. The "church" is to blame. Beware America, behold Britain.
