Always Be Prepared to Provide A Reasoned Defense
"...but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect..." 1 Peter 3:15 (ESV)
Dr. James White is currently ministering in London, England, and this talk, given yesterday, may be useful to those who are just being introduced to the topic of apologetics as well as those who are more familiar with the subject. The video contains the talk as well as a question and answer session, and lasts approximately 92 minutes. May I therefore suggest that for full cultural impact, and if it is possible, you sit down with a hot cup of English tea and watch this able defender of the faith as he explains his motivations and methods in doing so. (I guess you can still do this with a cup of coffee too, but something beneficial, and very English, may be lost). :-)
May I also ask that we pray especially for James and his upcoming public debates with Muslim apologists that are taking place over the next few days. Please pray for James' continued health, clarity of mind and boldness of speech, and for the debates themselves, and that good quality sound and visual recordings emerge so that the impact of God's truth will be far reaching around the world in the coming days. May God cause many hearts to be opened to the truth of His word. - John Samson

John
thanks for the link to the talk by Dr. White in London!
A great balance and insight for us in California dealing with the angry response by those devoid of the spirit against Prop. 8!
And the brother who ended the talk, his prayer! It was very very powerful and as I closed my eyes and listened to him close the talk in prayer I was moved by the Presence of God!
Again, thanks.
Does Dr. White grace your congregation by speaking there?
