"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers who love the gospel of Jesus Christ, affirm the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

    No Joel, No!

NO JOEL.. No! Mormonism is not Christian at all - it is not Christian doctrine to deny the Trinity, to proclaim that the god who rules this earth (and who we are to worship) was once a man and who lives now on a planet encircling a star called Kolob; that Jesus was conceived by a sexual union between God and Mary... that the Bible has been superseded by the book of Mormon; that Jesus' death and resurrection merely secured an opportunity to be saved if people will work for it.

Every Mormon needs to hear and embrace the true Gospel, not be affirmed as already being a Christian, especially by someone as prominent as yourself Joel. If you don't know what you are talking about say nothing - admit that you have not studied what Mormonism teaches - but PLEASE don't affirm the Mormon faith as Christian. Mormonism is the most polytheistic faith on the planet.

It is not at all loving to let the wolves roam free amongst the flock Joel and you just did that through your words. You also have undermined all the many ministries out there (many of them former Mormons) whose seek to win LDS people to the Lord.

My sister married her high school boyfriend. We were catholic at the time. He was a full blown Mormon.

After he was tragically killed at the age of 24, she, a widow with two young children were surrounded by us, her side of the family and by his side of the family.

Still weak in the faith and not fully grounded in the Faith once delivered to the Saints, she, at the request of her in-laws started attending their ward.

I had been separated from this world by that time and began to actively evangelize her and my niece and nephew. I started attending that ward with my sister. I was totally confused because as the man says, in the first phase you are taught that Jesus is at the Right Hand of God and the He died for our sins. It wasn't until after the first phase of teachings, the new beginners class was completed that they began indoctrinating you into the "higher" knowledge of the faith.

At first, they gave you a King James Bible to use in the beginners class.

I thank the Lord that He prevailed over that seducing spirit and answered my prayers and the many prayers of those who prayed with me for their salvation.

Now, my sister and her children are all serving the Lord and doing well as they grow in Grace and the Knowledge of the Truth!

It is shocking to hear that someone of his stature would not grasp the magnitude of what he said. To say that some individual Mormon may go to heaven because of their faith in Christ and their lack of understanding is one thing, but to put the Mormon religion on par with Methodists and Catholics is quite another.

Hopefully, Joel will rethink his broad canopy approach and preach the clear Gospel of Christ.

    Thanks for posting this!

Glad to see your exposed video post on Mormonism. However, you spelled achieved as "acheived" will want to fix that.

You don't really think a wolf is going to call out a wolf do you?

I have studied the Mormon doctrines, and I totally agree. They are utterly and completely unChristian. Their doctrines contradict Scripture time and time again, and Joel has clearly not read his Bible enough to see that the differences in our beliefs signify a distinct difference in our religion itself.
