"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers who love the gospel of Jesus Christ, affirm the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

Excellent show ! Looking forward to more episodes. Must Share. God Bless

This was a very enjoyable and edifying presentation, I must say.

I find it amusing that this was posted yesterday. I had just been going through the archives of Dr. White's blog, you see, and had noted where he mentioned going off to record this. I wondered when on earth we were going to be able to see it, and a couple of hours later, there it was! ;-)

No surprise concerning Jakes stance on the Trinity but what blessed me in particular was the mentioning of the disproportional importance placed on congregational size and pastors/teachers being "sized-up", if you will,by those numbers as apposed to the spiritual maturity of the congregants. Personally, having attended a church of approx. 1500 for a number of years i learned it was easier to 'hide-out' than to actually learn & live-out the Gospel.Just ask several attendee's a simple question like, "What is Faith?" or "How important is Justification?", and you'll better understand what i'm implying. The reason for my leaving was the music. With so many younger folk most songs sounded like a 'jam-session' more than worshipful melody's and with so much pressure placed on the worship-"leader"(which i thought was supposed to be the Holy Spirit), when attempting to share my concerns with him, i never even got a reply. Anyway Dear Friends, i firmly believe what you were sharing from the Word about Christ's followers dwindling as well as Paul's and the others over the years. But man's pride always seems to get us entangled with the rudiments of this world. Size may matter when it comes to a godzilla movie, but not when it comes to our Beloved Heavenly Father GOD! I think we may all be in for a big surprise when we discover that there may just be far more ending-up in Hell than in Heaven. Although i could very well be utterlee wrong and in truth...i hope i am. By the way, will there be any further "like" discussions concerning this Elephant Room? GOD Bless and keep you and your families. THANK YOU SINCERELY, HIServant & Yours, Danny Garrett.
