"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers who love the gospel of Jesus Christ, affirm the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

    Simply Irresistible

Man will always resist the grace of God in the gospel until God decides to overcome his resistance. Today I had the privilege of once again guest-hosting one of Dr. James White's dividing line broadcasts and got to talk for an hour about the often misunderstood doctrine of "Irresistible Grace." I trust it will be a blessing to those who watch: - JS

Great opening guest hosting the Dividing Line yesterday, John. I enjoyed it and the sense you brought out from the verses from 2 Chronicles and the Gospel of John too. I've pondered those verses well over the years but listening to you put your sense into them made them come alive and as if I'd never read them before! Looking forward to tomorrow's show!!
