I would value your prayers...
I would value your prayers for today (Wednesday) and Friday as I have the opportunity of hosting a live 2 hour Christian radio call in show at KPXQ 1360AM in the Greater Phoenix area. The normal host of the program (Andrew Tallman) is away on vacation and has asked me to fill in for him for these two evenings.
The show consists of a 10-12 minute teaching segment that I will do (at the start of each hour) and then people can call in with comments and questions. I am told that up to 20,000 people are listening in at any given moment. Please pray that the word of God will go forth clearly and boldly and that I would have the grace and wisdom to handle any questions from the callers.
Though the radio station can only be heard in Arizona, should you be interested, you can also hear both shows live as they air from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Arizona time) on the internet here. - John Samson

Comments
John,
Just prayed for you and will continue to do so.
Will you be recording the programs? I don't know that I will be able to listen during the timeslots mentioned. Plus, if you made the recording available at reformationtheology.com and monergism.com it could reach an even wider audience. I would certainly like some mp3s and would be interested in hearing you teach.
A suggestion for one of the hours could be the wrath of God against sin and His supreme holiness. Unless God's mercy and His love is seen in the context of, or against the backdrop of His holiness and His wrath it doesn't mean as much. This is a topic that most don't preach on these days. I am doing that for the bible study I teach at church next time. I'm sure you already know many of these, but the scripture references I am using are as follows: Rev. 1:7, 4:9-11, 5:11-13, 6:17, 19:11-15; Romans 1:21; Romans 2:1-6; Matt 25:31-46, Psalm 2:10-12; 1 Thess. 1:10; 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
Blessings on your day and the upcoming radio programs,
Alan

Hi John,
Well it is a little hard to be objective about how the program went, but I was very pleased to be able to cover all the ground I did. There were not too many callers which meant I had to keep on talking for most of the 2 hours (which suited me just fine). I was asking the basic question - when was the last time you heard the gospel.. the real biblical gospel, not some man made substitute.. starting with the holiness of God, the treachery of our sin, and how God sent His Son to the world to save us from His wrath?? I have had some very good feedback already even from such far away places as Australia and Europe (from people listening on the internet). One lady just e-mailed me to say she was moved to tears by the program because of how blessed she was.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I believe a lot of people were impacted by the program. God willing, I will host the show tomorrow (Friday) also.
