Conversion - Impossible with man - Possible with God
Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.†Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?†But he said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.†(Lk 18:25-27)
Just as a leopard CANNOT change its spots and a camel CANNOT go through the eye of a needle (both are impossible) MAN cannot change the human heart - BUT GOD CAN. That is our only hope as we pray for and reach out with the gospel to lost souls. - JS

Yes! Even the Apostles asked him this! Those who left all and gave up their work to follow him who where quite astonished to learn it was not of their own in leaving behind all things.
There is no way than any can be saved by his works, or of his value, his wealth, or his status, his affluence or any goodness of any kind! NONE can be saved by man of himself for it is impossible with man to save himself and to follow Christ even though a monks life he leads!
But, when we are sent by God to follow him, we leave the world and all we have behind so to share in his sufferings as we pick up our cross yoked ever so kindly to Him.
We began to sell all we own for the treasure, we now know is buried in the field we seek to purchase. And soon the treasure buried will be ours as all has been sold in the purchasing of the field and it will be deeded to us completely after all is gone from us to sell. This even as he promised in the beginning! For he had begun the good work in us of which he will complete to its uttermost end! Than we shall be as he is having seen him face to face. Thank you Father for our Lord and Savior who did it all, I do see it is by your hand alone so to have given the poor having nothing left to purchase this field. For it is possible that all man should be selling all and leaving behind all and follow Jesus should they have been sent. Jesus has the words of eternal life and so we have no other place to go of flee to. Even unto our death we shall follow you and share but a small bit in your great sufferings having given the hope of heaven alone to be with you as you are!
