"...if anyone makes the assistance of grace depend on the humility or obedience of man and does not agree that it is a gift of grace itself that we are obedient and humble, he contradicts the Apostle who says, "What have you that you did not receive?" (1 Cor. 4:7), and, "But by the grace of God I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:10). (Council of Orange: Canon 6)

We are a community of confessing believers who love the gospel of Jesus Christ, affirm the Biblical and Christ-exalting truths of the Reformation such as the five solas, the doctrines of grace, monergistic regeneration, and the redemptive historical approach to interpreting the Scriptures.

I highly recommend these two teaching sessions on the relationship between Divine Sovereignty and human responsibility. Outstanding material. - JS

EVERY Christian should study and pray over the 2 doctrines that John teaches on here. These are 2 of the most mi-understood or avoided doctrines of Scripture we have today. We have some who don't beleive in a total sovereign God and then there are those who put all of salvation on man and his works. Please keep up the good work.

Thanks for posting these two videos. They were excellent. They gave me a greater understanding of the topic.

I rejoice in the doctrines of Grace! Christ has given us His Assurance of His Saving Grace in His people. Believe and be saved. If we believe, we can be saved. His Work, His Way, His Time is the Sovereign decision of our Almighty God, Jesus our Saviour, by His Holy Spirit. We bow in deep humility and brokeness at our own sin and yet rejoice in His Almighty Marvelous Grace. We weep for those who do not understand and those who do not believe. May God have mercy on those ones we share with and save them. Amen.

How great is God's grace. I have come to believe that the sin that grabs hold of fallen man is this idea that we have libertarian, autonomous free will. We are still in the garden listening to the serpent. This teaching is profound and a must see.
